La base est claire : bonne alimentation, activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, sommeil r\u00e9parateur et relations sociales. La science a d\u00e9j\u00e0 mis en \u00e9vidence les effets positifs de l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique sur les sympt\u00f4mes et sur la qualit\u00e9 de vie des personnes atteintes de troubles neurologiques, notamment celles qui ont la SP. Et m\u00eame si cela est vrai pour la population g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, le fait de vivre avec une maladie est une raison de plus de viser \u00e0 bouger plus et mieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019activit\u00e9 physique \u00e0 favoriser pour la scl\u00e9rose en plaques<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La pratique d\u2019une activit\u00e9 physique ne veut pas n\u00e9cessairement dire l\u2019ex\u00e9cution d\u2019exercices physiques structur\u00e9s et r\u00e9p\u00e9titifs, m\u00eame si ce type de mouvement en fait partie. En effet, une activit\u00e9 physique signifie tout mouvement effectu\u00e9 par une personne qui l\u2019am\u00e8ne \u00e0 bouger son corps. Elle peut donc \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9e dans le cadre d\u2019activit\u00e9s de la vie quotidienne, comme lorsque l\u2019on passe le balai ou que l\u2019on marche pour aller au bureau, ou d\u2019une activit\u00e9 qui vise \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des exercices physiques sp\u00e9cifiques, comme lorsque l\u2019on fait du v\u00e9lo stationnaire ou que l\u2019on soul\u00e8ve des halt\u00e8res. Les exercices physiques sont des mouvements que l\u2019on ex\u00e9cute de fa\u00e7on r\u00e9p\u00e9titive, souvent plusieurs fois de suite et \u00e0 une fr\u00e9quence assez r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, dans le but d\u2019am\u00e9liorer sa condition physique ou sa sant\u00e9 globale. Les exercices physiques sont une excellente, mais pas la seule, fa\u00e7on d\u2019int\u00e9grer l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique dans sa vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une question revient souvent : quels exercices sont les plus b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques pour la qualit\u00e9 de vie lorsqu\u2019on vit avec la SP ?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une vaste m\u00e9ta-analyse regroupant 45 \u00e9tudes et 2428 participants a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les exercices de types sensorimoteurs, a\u00e9robie et ceux ax\u00e9s sur le contr\u00f4le du corps et de l\u2019esprit (comme le yoga ou le pilates) \u00e9taient les plus efficaces pour am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie globale<sup data-fn=\"cfc16f41-2b66-41e5-adc2-97700eef7b79\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"cfc16f41-2b66-41e5-adc2-97700eef7b79-link\" href=\"#cfc16f41-2b66-41e5-adc2-97700eef7b79\">1<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les exercices sensorimoteurs, qui sollicitent l\u2019\u00e9quilibre, la coordination et la proprioception, arrivent en t\u00eate. Par exemple, lancer une balle contre un mur et la rattraper oblige le corps \u00e0 ajuster sa posture, \u00e0 coordonner ses gestes et \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper sa perception dans l\u2019espace. Ces exercices sont particuli\u00e8rement pertinents pour les personnes ayant une forme mod\u00e9r\u00e9e de la maladie.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour consulter une s\u00e9rie d\u2019exercices sensorimoteurs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Version assise \u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZxQe9Dum6tI\">Exercices sensorimoteurs \u2013 assise<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Version debout \u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2KS0DHJayXI\">Exercices sensorimoteurs \u2013 debout<br><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les exercices a\u00e9robie (par exemple, mais pas que, la marche rapide, le v\u00e9lo stationnaire ou la natation) stimulent l\u2019endurance cardiovasculaire. Chez les personnes vivant avec une forme plus avanc\u00e9e de la SP, ils semblent avoir un effet particuli\u00e8rement b\u00e9n\u00e9fique sur la qualit\u00e9 de vie, possiblement parce qu\u2019ils soutiennent l\u2019endurance n\u00e9cessaire pour accomplir d\u2019autres activit\u00e9s quotidiennes.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les exercices de contr\u00f4le du corps et de l\u2019esprit (yoga, tai-chi, pilates) apportent \u00e9galement des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices notables, notamment sur la gestion du stress, de la fatigue et du bien-\u00eatre \u00e9motionnel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Varier et adapter pour maximiser les effets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 affin\u00e9s par des analyses plus r\u00e9centes : une m\u00e9ta-analyse de 2024 regroupant 40 \u00e9tudes conclut que tous les grands types d\u2019exercices (a\u00e9robie, r\u00e9sistance, multicomposants) am\u00e9liorent l\u2019\u00e9quilibre, les habilit\u00e9s, ainsi que l\u2019endurance \u00e0 la marche, la fatigue et la qualit\u00e9 de vie, avec des effets notables : la r\u00e9sistance est la plus efficace pour r\u00e9duire la fatigue, tandis que l\u2019a\u00e9robie est la plus efficace pour am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie<sup data-fn=\"cbcc51a1-9fb0-48af-89f6-a733a139bac6\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"cbcc51a1-9fb0-48af-89f6-a733a139bac6-link\" href=\"#cbcc51a1-9fb0-48af-89f6-a733a139bac6\">2<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les recherches r\u00e9centes confirment aussi que la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 et la personnalisation sont essentielles. Adapter le choix des exercices aux capacit\u00e9s, aux limitations et surtout aux pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences de la personne favorise une pratique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re et durable, et ainsi, maximise les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices<sup data-fn=\"13830b40-bebf-4c1a-8bd7-b23e0358119c\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"13830b40-bebf-4c1a-8bd7-b23e0358119c-link\" href=\"#13830b40-bebf-4c1a-8bd7-b23e0358119c\">3<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, si certains types d\u2019exercices se distinguent scientifiquement, la meilleure strat\u00e9gie demeure de choisir des activit\u00e9s agr\u00e9ables, s\u00e9curitaires et adapt\u00e9es, afin de les int\u00e9grer de fa\u00e7on r\u00e9guli\u00e8re dans la vie de tous les jours.
